• This toy is made of 100% natural rubber and uses food-grade paint (NO LEAD HERE!).
• The natural rubber also makes Sophie easy to clean.
• This is a high-quality baby toy that will last for many years and can be used for more than one teething baby during its lifetime.

Cons:

• The pleasant squeaking makes this product very attractive to family members of the K-9 variety.  You may have to work to keep your dog from wanting to chew on Sophie, too.
• The rubber used to make Sophie may have a strong smell that some parents (and potentially babies) may find difficult to get past.
• When the rubber material becomes wet (from being in a baby’s mouth), it may attract lint, meaning that frequent cleaning is a must.
