Sound lights visually show baby’s level of activity even when the 1.8″ monitor is turned off , while nighttime LED lights on the camera make the baby fully visible day or night. The system utilizes 900 MHz technology to provide superior clarity and range, two channel selections, and up to a 350 ft range. The parent unit is especially convenient due to the attached belt clip and kickstand, allowing the monitor receiver to be with the parents at all times. - The wireless baby monitor is extremely convenient and can be used from anywhere in the home, allowing parents to watch a movie, or do chores without concern that they will not hear baby.
- It is possible to hook the receiver to a TV (using a simple cord), so baby can be watched in full size.
- The camera portion of the monitor is adjustable, so it is easy to get the perfect video shots of baby no matter where the monitor is set up in his room.
- Although the baby unit portion of this monitor needs to be plugged in, it comes with a long enough cord to accommodate any location that you choose to place it in the baby’s room.
- When the parent receiver is being used with batteries, the video shuts itself off automatically after a few minutes (the sound and the sound-light indicator do not shut off). When you need to visually check on the baby, simply press a button on the top of the receive, and the video will come on for a few minutes. This automatic shutoff is utilized to keep from draining the batteries unnecessarily.
Cons:
- The 900MHz may interfere with a 900MHz cordless phone or vice versa.
- There are only 2 channels on this monitor/ receiver set and they are not secured, so anyone within a certain distance from your house, with this system will be able to see and hear your baby, and you can see and hear theirs.
- You will likely not be able to buy any additional handheld receivers to keep in different parts of the house without purchasing a whole new system.
- There can be a bit of background static relating to both the sound and video of this unit.
- There have been reports that the rechargeable batteries do not have a very long life. To replace the batteries, a new battery pack must be purchased for $30-35 or it voids the warranty on the monitor. You cannot just purchase batteries at any store and replace them.

I received the Day & Night Handheld Color Video Monitor as a shower gift. I love having this baby monitor. I can put my baby to bed and watch the news with my husband or do the dishes. It has really freed up my time to be able to carry around a monitor receiver with me while my little one is asleep. I just simply check the monitor every few minutes to make sure that she is still sleeping. That is so much nicer than running up the stairs every time I hear a little noise. I am also able to get a lot more accomplished. What a GREAT product!
