The sound from the single speaker on the back of the ‘Takealong Tunes’ is really very high quality for its size, not plunky or shrill at all. The lights move to the beat of the music, and the whole toy is light enough for him to carry in one hand as he crawls around our home..

The large button-like wheel on the front is very easy for my son to push by himself. It requires just enough resistance that it isn’t going off constantly or accidentally.

I thought I was buying a strongly-constructed, light-weight toy for the portability since it is not convenient to transport large flashing, blinking, musical toys around with us, but I feel like I’ve gotten so much more out of this charming little toy.

It soothes my son when he is feeling sleepy, entertains him while awake, and has become his closest companion all around.
